"As an artist Elena Mitzeva periodically changes the media in which she works - film, installation, painting, weaving, print, drawing as well as her themes and concepts - often focusing on communication, the environment, the transient, etc. Communication brings us closer to each other, but it can also separate us. In general it could mean the lack of communication too or the desire to participate in every occasion by any means. It could be loneliness, a monolog, and it could be connection."
